Initial Meeting
Before a line is drawn, we look at your lot — access, slope, views, sun, snow, and where the house should sit. If you're local, we walk it together. If you bought from a distance, I visit on your behalf and send you photos with a written read of the property. Good design starts on the land, not on a screen.
Architectural Plans
Custom home plans built to your county's requirements and ready for permits, with 3D renderings so you can see the house before it exists. Every plan set comes stamped by a licensed Colorado architect — standard, on every project. Thirty years of building here means the plans go together in the field, not just on the screen. When a site needs structural engineering, I bring in a licensed engineer for it.
Consultation
Thirty years of building means I can tell you early where a design choice adds real money and where it doesn't — so you end up with a home you can actually afford to build, not just one that looks good on paper. Bring me your budget and your ideas, and we'll talk through what makes sense on your lot before the drawing starts.

I'm David Harbur — designer, engineer, and builder.
I've spent 30 years designing, engineering, and building homes in Southwest Colorado — more than 50 of them, from small vacation homes to multi-million-dollar custom houses, most in and around Pagosa Springs. In 2022 I stepped back from general contracting to focus on the part I like best: the design and the drawings. Every plan set I deliver is stamped by a licensed Colorado architect as standard, with a structural engineer brought in when a site calls for it. What you get is the complete, professionally stamped package from someone who has spent 30 years building these homes, not only drawing them.
